- In a medium bowl, combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and melted butter until evenly moistened. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread this peanut butter layer evenly over the cookie crust.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Spread the pudding mixture over the peanut butter layer in the dish.
- Top the pudding layer with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the top with peanut butter chips and chocolate chips for garnish, if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate the dish for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
For a firmer crust, refrigerate the cookie base for 10 minutes before adding the layers.
