Method
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sweet tea, lemon juice, olive oil, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, paprika, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring the pieces are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
- Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is golden brown with grill marks.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve the Sweet Tea Grilled Chicken with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken overnight. You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a slightly different flavor.
