  5. Pour the cold water into the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  6. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice, if desired.
  7. Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 30 minutes or until chilled.
  8. Serve over ice in glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, if desired.
